Malachite House - Halfway House, Addicts and Alcoholics, Recovery

Malachite House was founded in May 2015 in North Riding, by Marius Swart and Sara Lattimer.

I took over the legacy in August 2023.

Malachite House is a Halfway House and Reintegration Center for people suffering with addiction related illnesses

from alcoholism and other substance abuse all the way through to screen time addiction.

Our Halfway House provides a safe, nurturing environment for our residents who work full time,

but still require assistance to learn how to thrive in recovery.

Our Reintegration House offers a more structured environment for residents in early recovery. Our day programme

consists of 12 Step based lectures, counselling, duties, skills development, and vocational guidance.

We have recently moved to a 2.6 Hectare property in Chartwell where our vision is to offer a more sustainable

and holistic lifestyle for our residents.

Our vision for Malachite House is to build on the successes achieved in Northriding and Northcliff,

by leveraging the new property in Chartwell to serve not only as an enhanced reintegration center but also to

ensure our residents have all the necessary tools available to thrive and maintain their recovery.
